A 5 round swiss tournament played between 1st July and 26th August. Open to Members, prospective members and friends.
Entry Fee £2.00
Trophy for winner. Prize for best newcomer (ungraded), Grading prize for the best player rated under 1650. Time control: Game in 45 minutes with a 30 second increment per move.
Rules
Each round to be played on the night stated. Pairings will be done at 7:25pm and play will begin at 7:30pm. Any players not present will have a half point bye. Each competitor is allowed up to 2 half-point byes.

In round 3,. Adam Ware defeated Steve to stay in to the lead with a perfect 3 out of 3. Che beat Ben to go into second place. Chris came out of the opening with an advantage against Julie but failed to capitalise on it. Julie managed to win 2 pawns but mis-played the endgame and the result was a draw.
