17/7/1950Brian Dudley competed in the inaugural B.U.C.A. individual championship.
2/12/1950For the first time ever a county match, Worcs vs Staffs was played in Stourbridge at the Unitarian Hall. The tea provided was the highlight of the season.
1950-1951 The club won the Worcestershire Lyttelton trophy
1950-1951 The club played 7 friendly matches.
1950-1951 The club won Cobham trophy
20/8/1951 G.F. Harris came second in the BCF major open at Swansea. B.G. Dudley and A.L..Homer also did well.
1951 Brian Dudley selected to captain the Birmingham University chess club.
04/10/1951 The club's AGM was held
20/5/1952 The club celebrated it's centenary.
1951-1952 3rd in the Lyttelton trophy (W5 L2) which was won by Lye who won all their matches.

Nov 1955 T.E.L. Chataway scored 7 out of 11 in "First Class" at the British championships in Aberystwyth.
Nov 1955 Mr J.F. Ling has been appointed chess problem editor of The Observer.

26/11/1955 Geoff Harris was a winning member of the England team in the England v. Scotland Chess international match.
14/3/1956 Geoff Harris played for England in a team tournament in Switzerland
