Our aim is to enjoy and promote the playing of Chess in the Stourbridge area.  We meet every  Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Stourbridge Institute and Social Club. We have teams in the Wolverhampton, Dudley and Birmingham Leagues and have a membership of all ages. Players of any standard are welcome and anyone interested should come along to the Stourbridge Institute on Wednesday night at 8:00 pm.

How to get there

The Institute is situated in Market Street, Stourbridge. Train from Snow Hill to Stourbridge Junction and then to Stourbridge Town. The Institute is 1/4 mile walk from the station.

By car, from the Stourbridge ring road turn right at the Crystal Leisure Centre  just before the pelican crossing. Follow the road round to the left and first  left again is the Crown Centre  car park (pay and display). The Institute is directly opposite across the member only car park. The entrance is on the opposite side of the building to Market Street, directly under the neon sign. The Chess room is on the left side of the building. Please note that the institute is a private club and parking is restricted to members only.
NOTE: Do not park in the Ryemarket carpark as it closes early !!
